I am grateful for many blessings in my life.
This Thanksgiving, I am reminded of a quote by Gandhi, “For I can see, that in the midst of death, life persists; in the midst of untruth, truth persists; in the midst of darkness, light persists.”
There is no question that the year 2020 has been one of great challenge for many throughout the world. The pandemic, civil unrest, economic hardship, and many other challenges have labeled this year unfavorably.
Yet through it all, we have had the opportunity to learn how to interact differently, to work differently, and to care for ourselves and our families differently. I would submit to you that there has been more good resulting from this than not.
I have built stronger relationships with my family. I have a greater appreciation for my strengths and skills. I am grateful for family members who have reached out to each other to make sure that we are all safe. I am grateful for my clients, new and not so new, who continue to rely on me for help navigating all this craziness. And despite its flaws, I am grateful to live in this great nation, the United States of America.
Please accept my wishes for you and your loved ones to enjoy today, Thanksgiving 2020. Please take time to reflect on all the good that we enjoy despite the challenges that we might individually and collectively face.
